As one of our Oriental Cuisine Chefs at our site near Heathrow Airport, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting a range of authentic Oriental dishes to the standard set by each of the airlines we serve. Working within tight, specified timeframes you will work in our dedicated Non-Halal kitchen within the Far Eastern section of the kitchen. This is part of our new state of the art Premium Kitchen facility.
Normal working days of this role will be 40 hours per week on a shift basis including early and late shifts.
You must have 5 years’ experience of cooking Oriental Cuisine, flexible and enthusiastic approach to work and enjoy working as part of team in a fast moving environment where deadlines are tight to ensure that flights depart on time.
We are a food business so it’s important to know good quality and insist on it. When you are working with your colleagues, it is important that you exemplify all we stand for, that you practice what you preach and work in an orderly, specified way so you really do lead by example.
You should also be willing to undertake some manual handling/bending and reaching as part of your normal duties.
You should have chef qualifications also in producing food at high volumes to customer specifications within tight financial constraints. You should be able to work a mixture of early and late shifts between 5.00am and 11.00pm (40 hours per week) over 5 out of 7 days.
If you are successful we will provide you with full training on all our processes and systems. You will also be required to undergo a full five year background check including any neccessary criminal record checks. This can take four weeks to complete.
