Sous Chef Ross on Wye Herefordshire upto 24K Plus Tips and Live In
Sous Chef required at this superb country house hotel with Restaurant and Bar located in the historic market town of Ross on Wye.
The Head Chef is looking for a Sous Chef who has the skill and flair to assist with the smooth running of the kitchen in his absence serving an average of 100 covers midweek and over 200 at the weekends.
Part of your duties will be to help maintain standards at all times, ensuring that the team stays focussed and all prep is completed in time for service. Ideally you will have a creative side and put forward some menu ideas of your own; the Head Chef has plenty of ideas but is always open to new menu suggestions or daily specials.
As Sous Chef you will need previous experience of working in hotels or restaurants, have full knowledge of all sections including pastry, feel comfortable running service in the absence of the Head Chef, lead by example and have the patience to help train and inspire junior chefs.
Live in is available if required but would also suit anyone living in the Ross on Wye, Hereford, Wye Valley, Ledbury, Monmouth or possibly west Gloucester area with their own transport.
Base Salary upto £24,000 (depending upon experience)
