Sous Chef required to join the team at this superb town centre Brasserie, The restaurant typically serves 50 covers per service with most items made onsite, the menu is constantly changing with new items appearing every week.
The head chef likes to keep the menus fresh and always cooks with the seasons and has the ethos simple things done well, the menus also allow him to experiment and discover different things, nothing wacky but for example recently he was experimenting and started making his own butter trying different techniques and variations for a couple of weeks and then moved onto something different.
The Head Chef is looking for somebody who has a good level of cooking skills and who enjoys cooking with all fresh ingredients creating dishes packed full of flavour and neatly presented.
The Head chef sees this as a crucial role and is looking for somebody to ‘bounce ideas off’ and somebody who gets excited by the fresh produce being delivered on a daily basis.
As Sous Chef you must display confidence and feel comfortable running service in the absence of the Head Chef, be able to lead by example and have the patience to help train and inspire junior chefs.
There is Free Live In available for somebody looking to relocate but would also suit somebody living in the Chipping Norton Stow on the Wold Kidlington Burford Moreton in Marsh or possibly Banbury area with their own transport if required
Salary upto £24,000 (depending upon experience)
